Glimmer of Hope

I don’t want to get ahead of myself.  Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is for certain in international adoption.  Heck, there are 2 federal governments involved and, quite honestly, I don’t have much reason to trust either one of them!

That said, there was encouraging news from our agency yesterday.  The in-country coordinator met with the woman who has been causing all the delays in Accra Social Welfare and she has supposedly committed to him that she will indeed sign off on all of our agency’s cases that are currently before her.  That *SHOULD* include us!   Of course there’s no indication as to WHEN she will sign them.

For now, as it has been, we just wait.  We wait for the email that says we can make travel arrangements…again.  We wait for approval to travel…again.  We hope that once we make those arrangements, they don’t get cancelled…again!

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.  ~Psalm 33:20-22
